Welcome to openLCA.conf 2025

  10 – 11 April 2025
  Berlin, Germany

The open openLCA LCA Conference

After a sold-out first edition, we would like to give a warm welcome to openLCA.conf 2025, taking place in Berlin from the 10–11 April 2025. Doubling our event capacity from last year, we’re excited to bring together experts from across the field for two days of lectures, workshops and discussions on LCA research and practice.

Since its creation in 2007, openLCA has grown to become one of the most widely used LCA softwares both in its own right, and also as part of an interconnected family of LCA tools.  Thanks to its low acquisition barrier and available resources, people all across the world are able to use openLCA for studies, projects and research.

Preliminary Agenda

Keynotes

openLCA in our times

The world is changing. LCA and sustainability is a more business daily practice. Solutions see an increased pressure for being effective and cost-effective, and for providing correct or at least compliant results. At the same time, sustainability questions become broader and more complicated, moving from linear models somewhat agnostic of time and real locations to full sustainability models with time and regional resolutions, and / or models that use a lot of data from various sources.
The presentation will summarise key developments of openLCA in the last year, discuss how openLCA fits in this changing world, and will elaborate and put for discussion our plans for openLCA in the next 2-3 years.
