In 2022 we started with the initiative to train others to perform the trainings we do at GreenDelta, also assuring quality of trainings and knowledge of trainers.
With the growth and uptake of openLCA also came the demand for trainings. We aim to reach as many people as we can with good quality support, in their own language and possibly even location.

Asia
Susie Wu (China, Canada)
Susie is a Sustainability Consultant and Researcher specializing in LCA, ESG, and GHG accounting. Susie has a Ph.D. from Michigan State University. Susie has been participating in the U.S. NSF projects, and leading (as PI) for Chinese NSF projects. Meanwhile, Susie connects with the industry through daily work as a consultant. Inspired by great LCA practitioners and developers who have made tools open-source and transparent, Susie is dedicated to adopting, promoting, educating, and contributing to such tools.
Mohan M S (India)
Mohan M S is a seasoned senior consultant in sustainability with expertise in life cycle assessment (LCA), carbon footprint analysis, and environmental management. He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology and has worked across diverse sectors, including pharmaceuticals, clean energy, construction, technology, and chemicals. Mohan has led high-impact LCA projects, utilizing tools like openLCA, GaBi, and GREET. As a certified OpenLCA trainer, he brings a deep understanding of sustainability, empowering organizations to implement effective and sustainable LCA practices across industries. His work spans renewable fuels, carbon capture, sustainable aviation fuel, and more, making him a valuable expert in the field.
Muhammad Rizky Zen (Indonesia)
As a Director of Sustainability Consulting at Ailesh (Ailesh Global Consulting), Zen has shown his dedication and capability of providing services specializing in LCA for the industrial sector in Indonesia. By using openLCA since 2021, as a Project Director LCA, he has accomplished more than 50 LCA projects together with his team with clients from different industrial sectors such as power generation, chemicals, palm oil, etc. He is currently promoting LCA and openLCA to be used more widely in the industrial sector in Indonesia and Southeast Asia by becoming an openLCA-certified trainer.
Kwangwon Lee (South Korea)
As Director of Sustainability Consulting at Enstar R&C, Kwangwon has demonstrated his dedication and expertise in providing specialized LCA services to the industrial and R&D sectors in Korea. Since 2018, he has led numerous LCA projects across various sectors, including automotive, chemicals, and textiles, utilizing openLCA as a project leader. He has a particular interest in methodologies for CCU and open-loop recycling. Currently, as an openLCA-certified trainer, he is contributing to the promotion of LCA and openLCA in Korea’s industrial sector.
Europe
Alexander Griebler (Austria)
Alexander is currently a Project Manager of “The European University of Responsible Consumption and Production”, the goal within this project is to be the core hub of research and education worldwide by 2040. Starting with September 2022, Alexander will be leading SDG 12 within UniNEtZ. Additionally, he is going to be a PhD Student at Montanuniversität Leoben (also from September onwards); his PhD thesis has a provisional title of “Sustainability of products, the great unknown” – A holistic Life Cycle Assessment of Steel.
Chloé Zerling (France)
Chloé Zerling is a French environmental and energy engineer. She supports public and private actors, in various sectors, in accounting their impacts and emissions, and develop their decarbonization strategy and transition plan, through carbon balances and Life Cycle Assessments, among other things. She has been using openLCA for several years to help compagnies in their eco-design strategies, which has given her an expertise on the use of the software. She is fluent in French and English, and likes to share her knowledge through training.
Lucile Lespy (France)
Graduated from the Mines d’Alès (France), Lucile is an energy and environment engineer specialized in optimizing carbon and environmental footprint of companies, products or services, via tools such as Bilan Carbone® and Life Cycle Assessment. Through their support, she was able to develop a solid technical expertise, but also an expertise in terms of project management, animation of collective intelligence exercises and trainings. She is a user of openLCA and has been a trainer for several years.
Yacine Anbri (France, + arabic language)
Yacine Anbri, an energy and environmental engineer graduated from INSA Lyon, specializes in the accounting and optimization of the environmental footprint of products and services. With several years of experience, he supports public and private stakeholders across various sectors in their efforts to reduce their environmental impact.
As an experienced trainer in the Bilan Carbone® method and eco-design, Yacine passionately shares the knowledge he has acquired through his numerous projects. He also contributes to university programs, including engineering and business schools, to educate and train future generations on environmental challenges.
Yacine is fluent in French and Arabic.
Loris Camoin (France)
Loris Camoin helps private companies progress toward their climate goals. He is an energy and environment engineer specialized in Carbon Assessment (Bilan Carbone ®, GHG Protocol) and Life Cycle Assessment. He graduated from both INSA Lyon (energy and environment specialization) and IFP School (energy and economics specialization), two renowned French engineering college. He is an experienced openLCA user with several years of practice, leveraging the software to guide companies in their eco-design strategies and build a deep expertise in sustainable solutions.
Alexander Flekler (Germany)
Alexander Flekler is the project manager of the Nalyses project project and a researcher at the Fraunhofer Institute for Mechatronic Systems Design (IEM). Alexander’s work focuses on the integration of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology into the automotive product development process.With a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, specialising in Energy and Process Engineering, Alexander has a deep understanding of the technical intricacies of this field. As part of the “Scientific Automation” department at Fraunhofer IEM, he works with a passionate team to research and implement innovative software-based (mainly OpenLCA) sustainability approaches in product development.
Johannes Braun (Germany)
Johannes Braun holds an M.Eng. in Environmental Engineering from Darmstadt University of Applied Science (h-da) and is a senior consultant working on national and international research and industry projects at e-hoch-3 eco impact experts GmbH & Co. KG in Darmstadt (Germany). His daily work includes the use of openLCA for the calculation of LCA, product carbon footprints and corporate carbon footprints and tool development. Since 2020 he is also lecturer for Life Cycle Assessment at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, training students in using openLCA as LCA software. Johannes speaks German and English.
Felix Siems (Germany)
Felix Siems, currently residing in Kassel, Germany, is a graduate of the Master’s program in Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency at the University of Kassel. His master’s thesis, conducted at the CESR research institute in Kassel, focused on life cycle assessment (LCA) with an emphasis on the use of green hydrogen in the steel industry. Felix is now working at the Fraunhofer Institute for Mechatronic Systems Design (IEM) in Paderborn as a Life Cycle Engineer. In this role, he specializes in the assessment and sustainability evaluation of mechatronic products, primarily utilizing openLCA as his key tool.
Davide Rovelli (Italy)
Davide Rovelli is an energy engineer graduated at Politecnico di Milano. He has been working as an LCA researcher at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR-STIIIMA institute) for three years. He participates to European and national projects within the industrial sector, provides environmental consultancy services and support to certifications (EPD scheme), develops academic research papers and holds university hands-on lectures. He has been carrying out all these activities by means of openLCA, gaining an in-depth knowledge of the software.
Giorgio Cantino (Italy)
Giorgio Cantino holds a Ph.D in Environmental Engineering. He is sole director at greenstep, an Italian innovative company, spin-off of the University of Eastern Piedmont, and Italian official openLCA partner. He is also Assistant Professor at University of Eastern Piedmont for the chair of Life Cycle Assessment. He trains openLCA professional and academic users since the beginning of the openLCA partnership started in 2014. During the years, he gained a deep knowledge of the openLCA framework and of its developments.
Damjan Krajnc (Slovenia)
Dr. Damjan Krajnc is a seasoned researcher specializing in Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment, eco-design, sustainable process design, and environmental management. He holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Maribor, Slovenia. Throughout his career, Dr. Krajnc has successfully translated his research into industrial practices through international projects focused on developing environmentally friendly products and processes. His expertise in bridging academia and industry is reflected in his work with various sectors to enhance sustainability through the use of LCA methodologies. As a certified openLCA trainer, Dr. Krajnc is passionate about sharing his knowledge and helping others adopt sustainable practices.
Pedro Perez-Aguirre (Spain, Italy)
Pedro is a sustainability professional with a great passion for sharing experiences and teaching the knowledge that he has acquired during his career. He has a background in chemical engineering and industrial ecology, he is Spanish mother tongue and speaks fluent English and Italian. In the last two years he has been involved in LCA and carbon management projects, also working with ISO 14001 and 14064 standards, and waste management. He has a passion for music and reading, and loves having a good conversation.
Joanna Zhuravlova (Poland)
Industrial Ecology graduate at Leiden University and Delft University of Technology, she has experience in implementing sustainability in organisations. She believes that combining engineering knowledge with environmental sciences is the right way to make real environmental changes in any industry. As a Team Leader LCA/EPD and a Senior Sustainability Consultant, she specialises in conducting LCA of products and organisations, creating environmental declarations (EPD), verifying EPDs and conducting trainings in English and Polish language.
Daniel Egas Galarza (Spain)
Daniel Egas holds an MSc in Water Engineering from Brunel University (UK) and a PhD (Optimisation of environmental sustainability in the dairy industry) from UVic-UCC (Spain). Currently, he is a senior sustainability researcher and consultant at BETA Technology Centre (Spain). He has played a leading role in sustainability consultancy projects with the public and private sector; and verification and certification processes of companies that have obtained environmental declarations and ecolabels in the framework of the EU-PEF, EPD, Water Footprint and Carbon Footprint. He has also led the sustainability work package of numerous national and international competitive R+D+i projects.
Joan Colón Jordá (Spain)
Dr. Joan Colón is a Biologist, PhD in Environmental Science and Technology. He is the head of the “Environmental Accounting and Optimization” research area at the BETA Technological Centre (University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia). He is expert in the sustainability assessment of agri-food systems and in waste management and valorisation technologies. He has extensive and demonstrable experience in technology transfer projects with private companies and public administrations helping them to achieve their sustainability goals (e.g., ecolabelling and eco-design).
Pedro Olazabal Herrero (Spain)
Pedro is co-founder of Hands-on Impact, a consultancy specialising in sustainability and impact. Hands-on Impact designs, implements and measures strategies and action plans to improve the positive impacts of companies on society. Pedro has been partner of openLCA in Spain since 2017. His experience in using openLCA for environmental impact measurement and eco-design projects covers different sectors: waste, plastics, fashion, food, packaging, health, real estate, etc. Pedro speaks Spanish, English and German.
Maria E Correa-Cano (UK, + spanish language)
Maria Eugenia holds a Ph.D. in biodiversity and conservation by the University of Exeter, UK. She has participated in the assessment of the effects of light and plastic pollution at global and regional scales, as well as on the modelling of Water-Energy-Food-Environment (WEFE) nexus, contributing to understanding the linkages between nexus elements and the impacts of agricultural expansion. Currently, she is working closely with organizations (private and public) helping them assess the environmental impacts of their operations, focusing on the impacts on biodiversity, and using a multi-indicator approach (not limited to carbon emissions). She speaks Spanish and English.
Middle East
Nasser Ayoub (Egypt)
Dr. Nasser Ayoub is Professor, UNFCCC Roster of Experts Member, Co-founder EPD Egypt and the Managing Director of EPD MENA. In addition, he is the co-chair of the Steering Committee of Life Cycle Initiative, Life Cycle Assessment Professional and International Verifier.
Dr. Ayoub has more than 25 years of comprehensive academic and professional experience in seven different countries (Holland, Japan, Saudi, Qatar, Canada, USA, and Kuwait). He holds a Doctor of Environmental Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology in the field of Environmentally Friendly Supply Chains and Life Carbon Footprint Assessment and MSc in Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology. He represented Egypt as an international delegate in the United Nations Leadership Program in 2009 (Young Leaders from the Global South). Dr. Ayoub is Senior Lead Consultant in Carbon Footprint Assessment, Life Cycle assessment and Environmental Product Declaration. He has arranged large number of webinars and training sessions, for Carbon footprint estimations, Science Based Targets both within projects and in standalone sessions. He has been widely involved in COP 27 and 28.
North and South America
Daniel Egas Galarza (Ecuador)

Edgar Eduardo Sacayon (Guatemala)
Edgar specializes in developing models for natural and human capital impact assessment. Over the past 10 years he has worked as energy researcher in private universities in Guatemala, environmental advisor for the Costa Rica and Guatemalan governments and sustainability consultant for private companies around the world. He is the founder of the Center for Environmental Sustainability Studies in Guatemala and now he is a certified trainer in openLCA.
Ben Young (USA)
Ben Young is a senior life cycle analyst specializing in LCA of energy systems and environmentally extended input-output modeling. He is the lead openLCA trainer at U.S.-based ERG. Ben has developed several open-source tools for generating life cycle inventory data and life cycle impact assessment methods, including for use in openLCA. Ben earned a B.S. in biology from Davidson College and a Master of Environmental Management from the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University.
Paige Weiler (USA)
Paige Weiler is a life cycle and sustainability analyst at Eastern Research Group (ERG). Through her work at ERG, Paige supports public and private clients by conducting life cycle assessments and related environmental research across multiple sectors. Paige also works to maintain and curate data for the U.S. Life Cycle Inventory (USLCI) database on the Federal LCA Commons. Because the USLCI database uses the OpenLCA platform, Paige conducts trainings on USLCI data submission and provides support to data users in OpenLCA. As a certified trainer, Paige enjoys teaching others about OpenLCA while promoting the development of transparent, open-source LCI data.
