openLCA 1.4 performance overview: (a bit) faster than SimaPro 8 for ecoinvent 3

As discussed earlier, we published today performance test results of the openLCA 1.4 beta 1 version together with results for openLCA 1.3.4, SimaPro 7.3.3 and SimaPro 8, for the ecoinvent 2 and 3 database. Overall, the results show great improvements; creating the same product system is now about four times faster;  a quick calculation takes less than one second for an ecoinvent 2.2 unit process model with 1,700 processes – and for ecoinvent 3, the speed is comparable to the new SimaPro 8.
